What's Coming in 2019

business planning for 2019

If I’ve learned anything about myself, it’s that I’m motivated externally. I know that the best way to get my goals accomplished is to put them on blast with some sort of external accountability to keep me in line. So, while I’ve gotten a lot of questions about what’s coming in 2019 and hinted at it a few times, I decided I might as well share the whole behind-the-scenes of what I’m planning.

Now, I know how this works (and how my brain works) enough to realize that come Q3 and Q4, I might switch gears from the initial plan, or have some unexpected inspiration come up. That’s okay. It’s built into the beauty of being a solopreneur — you get flexibility, you get to listen to your clients and make decisions based off what they say, you get to change things up a bit. This is just my guidepost and the place I hope to end up (eventually).

Now, 2018 was an amazing year. I’m so incredibly proud of what I was able to accomplish all on my own my first year going full-time. But this year, I’m taking it to the next level, and I’m so incredibly excited.

Here are just a few of the things I’m going to set my sights on:

1) Jasna Burza’s upcoming mastermind.

For those of you who don’t know her, this is the woman that got me started back in 2017 on my own business. I learned how to coach through her, I got my business up and running because of her, so it’s only natural that this community is where I’m heading to take my business up a notch. Resources, coaching, connections, accountability — it’s got it all!

2) Pour my all into my clients

Seriously, the people I work with are freaking amazing. They’re inspiring, they’re motivating, and they’re ready to take on the world. I love helping them move their businesses and mindsets forward, so I’m going to be constantly looking for how I can provide it ALL for them. Let’s go, 2019.

3) Blogging, blogging, blogging

There are a plethora of marketing techniques out there. Blogging, YouTube, podcasts, speaking events, workshops, webinars, social media, search engine optimization (SEO), cold calls, adverts, etc. etc. etc. But the one that you will always, always have control over? Your email list. So I’m going to focus on growing my email list, and doing so via content, content, content. You’ll never get more than one email a week, but you might get more than one blog post (and I’m working HARD to make them as worthwhile, open, and honest as I can).

4). Online coaching workbook (big release #1!)

I have a lot of people who really want to invest in coaching, but the timing/finances/stress load are getting in the way. So I’ve decided that in 2019 I’m going to create the most thorough, thought-out workbook I possibly can to give those clients a way to coach without spending the big bucks. It’s gonna be as close to the one-on-one packages I offer as I can get, the only difference is that you’ll be doing it on your own.

5) Group coaching (big release #2)

If you know me, you’ve heard me talk about community over and over again. It’s my passion. It’s pure, unadulterated fun for me, plus it’s soooo important. So I plan to create a group coaching program that’s all about empowering yourself and growing your business authentically, sustainably, and intelligently. I’m seriously so pumped about this one.

6) Business 101 coaching (big release #3)

When you’re first breaking out into the business, there are so many things you need to get done: website, social media, SEO, headshots, LLC, contracts, copywriting, pricing structure, business plan, mindset, the list goes on. So I’m here to help! Instead of entrepreneurs spending months (and tons of money) getting all of this set up, we’ll sit down and get it done together over the course of one weekend. Yes, one weekend. Really, it’s a way for me to use all the background and resources I have to help someone knock this business thing out of the park so they’re ready to get going immediately.

So that’s it! That’s the plan for 2019. It’s a little daunting right now, but I think it’s going to be freaking amazing.

And for those of you who have asked me before why I’m willing to share all this information, here’s what I have to tell you: I can’t exist in a world where I believe there’s not enough people out there for me and the other coaches I know to help. More and more people are starting their own businesses each year, and I’m just here to help them doing awesome things with their lives. If other coaches are too, that just means more people feeling happy and inspired in this world, and how can I be upset at that?

Here is my * estimated * year outline:

January: Tie up loose ends (taxes, batch blogging in advance, adjusting accounting systems, switching newsletter providers, etc).
